This is a web application that I created on June 4, 2008, and I plan on polishing it so that I can make it an active project on SourceForge. It's purpose is to make it easy for my roommates and I to keep track of all purchases we make that are for all of us. It allows for inputting new purchases made that are shared by more than one person, splitting the charges, and then keeping a balance for everyone to pay everyone else.
A Measurement-Based Study of the Optimal Value of DNS Timeouts
My research paper from college that I worked on for a summer, and then a semester or two afterwards. As the title suggests, it's about a study I did on DNS, in an attempt to determine an optimal timeout value to use. I came up with some interesting ways of measuring the timeouts between any two name servers around the Internet, and conclude with a value to use in most cases.
Filez
This is a PHP app that I made for my Database Design class. This was after I worked the whole summer of '07 on PHP apps, so I was able to put a lot into it. It is designed to provide upload and download capabilities for courses and assignments. I still have some work to do, and I hope to be able to continue working on it next semester in order to make it a fully-functional application. I'm also hoping to be able to expand it as part of an independent study and make it something prospective students can use to view real assignments and student work.
StickFight
This is a project that I worked on during my Intro To New Media class. It was my final project, and the coolest thing I've done with Flash (also basically the only thing).
